Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Affinity Transport team at MARSH NZ. This role will be based in Auckland, NZ. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.As part of the high-performing broking unit in our Affinity Segment, you will co-manage a portfolio of high-profile Transport, Logistics, Warehousing and Automotive Industry accounts as well as a smaller book of SME, ensuring that a high degree of quality client service and advice is always provided to all customers.Your role is to assist senior client executives and the NZ manger with the presentation, management and maintenance of the larger corporate style clients. You will contribute towards the Company’s profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and sponsor partner management. You will work with our business development team to effectively onboard new clients.We will count on you to: Account Management:Possess and apply thorough understanding of the client’s business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations.Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company’s relationship at all times.Engender a positive and tenacious client retention, new business and team focusAssist Segment Leader with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals.Administration & Technical;Adhere strictly to the Company's quality practices and other systems and procedures.Possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments through attendance at company and industry training events.Possess and apply a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Fire Services Levy, GST, provisions and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments.Other duties as required time to timeRevenue Generation;Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities.Actively develop additional business from existing portfolio in line with budget targets.Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources.Unconditional support for all Company sponsored revenue generation initiatives.What you need to have:Relevant experience in either general insurance broking or underwriting, preferably with Commercial Broking.A team player who naturally maintains solid working relations with colleagues, external clients and broader industry market segments.Excellent communication style able to effectively work within various audiences, adapting approach as appropriate.
