Position Title: Senior Associate – Process & Project ManagementReporting to: Director of Operations / Chief Operating OfficerLocation: Baku, AzerbaijanEmployment Type: Full-TimeRole PurposeThe Senior Associate will drive the design, enforcement, and optimization of internal processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across key business functions. This role bridges operational excellence, deal execution, and cross-functional project delivery, leveraging Big 4-grade methodologies to establish scalable systems and ensure compliance, accountability, and performance alignment.Key Responsibilities1. Process & SOP Governance- Design, document, and enforce end-to-end operational SOPs aligned with organizational objectives. - Conduct gap analyses and internal audits to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control weaknesses. - Implement process-tracking dashboards and compliance checklists for ongoing monitoring. - Translate strategic initiatives into measurable workflows and procedural standards.2. Deal & Project Management- Coordinate multi-party deal flows (financial, legal, and operational streams) from initiation to closure. - Prepare and manage transaction trackers, risk logs, and milestone reports. - Liaise with finance, legal, and business development teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. - Support investor and partner communications, ensuring documentation accuracy and traceability.3. Cross-Functional Implementation- Collaborate with leadership to deploy new systems, internal controls, and project governance frameworks. - Introduce automation opportunities (AI, CRM, workflow tools) to improve execution efficiency.- Train and mentor junior staff on process discipline and project documentation standards.4. Continuous Improvement● Lead quarterly process-review sessions, producing improvement roadmaps and efficiency KPIs.● Benchmark internal governance models against Big 4 best practices.● Recommend policy revisions and operational risk mitigations.Required Experience & Qualifications● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field.● Experience:○ 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, deal advisory, or operations design.○ Minimum 3 years with a Big 4 firm (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) or Tier-1 consulting practice.○ Proven record of delivering SOP frameworks and large multi-stakeholder projects.● Technical Skills:○ Process mapping (BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma certification preferred)○ Financial modelling & deal tracking tools○ Advanced MS Office / Notion / Airtable / project-management software (Asana, Monday, ClickUp)● Soft Skills:○ Structured thinking and executive-level communication○ Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills○ Ability to balance strategic vision with operational precisionKey Performance Indicators- Timeliness and accuracy of SOP implementation. - Reduction in process redundancy / cycle times. - On-time, on-budget deal and project delivery rate. - Stakeholder satisfaction and audit compliance scores.Ideal ProfileA meticulous, systems-oriented professional who thrives on building clarity from complexity.
