Senior Automation QA Engineer (Backend)

At FxPro, we see each team member as an integral part of our success story.As a Senior QA Engineer, you will join our Payments team, responsible for managing payment processing systems that integrate multiple microservices and connect with various external providers.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze requirements, ensuring they are testable and completeCollaborate closely with developers and system analysts to ensure backend services meet quality standardsPlan, design, and execute manual tests for APIs, integrations, and backend componentsDevelop and maintain automated tests using Jest, scripting in TypeScript or JavaScriptIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).Use Git for version control and collaborationInvestigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and support regression testingContinuously improve test coverage and automation strategiesConduct code reviews and continuously improve the test automation frameworkRequirements3+ years of backend-focused QA or test automation experienceProficient in JavaScript and TypeScriptStrong understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practicesExperience with manual API testing (Postman, Insomnia)Familiarity with log analysis tools (Graylog, Kibana)Comfortable with mocking tools, test data management, and Agile/Scrum workflowsCritical thinking and attention to detail to deeply analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and foresee potential risks in implementation or solution designEffective communication skills within the team and other development teamsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentFluent in English (written and spoken)Nice to haveExperience working with payment providers or payment processing systemsExperience in some of the following will be considered an advantage:JestGraylog/KibanaJenkinsGitlabPostman, InsomniaSQL and database testingMock servers for API testingOur benefitsExcellent compensation packageMedical insuranceProvident fundIn-house gym with a personal trainerFree daily lunch catering, snacks, and beveragesCompany discount card for various products & services21 days of annual leave and 10 days of sick leave annuallyShuttle bus service from LimassolBirthday giftRelocation bonus and visa/work permit support
