Our NSW Government client are hiring for a highly capable Senior Business Analyst. This role requires someone with strong technical and functional skills, who can work across bridging gaps between functional and integration systems. Candidates are required to have experience in the energy/utilities sector being essential. This is an initial 6 months fixed-term contracting opportunity, with good potential to extend post initial contract. Role Title: Senior Business AnalystContract Length: 6 month initial fixed-term contract.Payrate: $170,000 - $180,000 + Super (per annum).Location: This role is open to candidates along the East Coast of Australia.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport scope definition.Governance Input and Documentation.Stakeholder Engagement Support.Requirements Traceability.Support Documentation.Process Mapping. Core tasks:Lead the capture, documentation, and traceability of business requirements and develop the Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM).Finalise RTVM as solution requirements, user stories/AC, test cases are completed.Provide input and review for the ICT detailed design, including integration, data flow, and threat model docs.Document and agree service desk support requirements for transition to operations.Contribute to the development of the ICT implementation plan, outlining deployment steps and rollback.Prepare operational handover materials, including support documentation and training for operations teams.Support the creation of the project transition plan for moving from project delivery to BAU.Support development and maintenance of the business readiness checklist to ensure all prerequisites for go-live are met.Contribute to lessons learned documentation and participate in post-implementation review. Experience & Skills: Experience as a Technical BA who can work across functional tasks.Energy/Utilities sector experience is vital.An ability to look at solution architecture documentation and being able to work with system owners and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and understanding of these documents.A thorough understanding of the SDLC lifecycle, user cycles and integration knowledge is needed. Candidates must have a strong understanding of Data capturing and migration activities, as well as being able to work collaboratively with a data governance team.
