Job SummaryBusiness Development Senior Manager is responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy by identifying, developing, and securing high-value engineering consultancy opportunities. The role focuses on strategic market expansion, key client relationships, revenue growth, bid strategy leadership, and alignment between business development, proposals, and project delivery teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the company’s short- and long-term business development strategy.Identify target markets, sectors, and priority clients aligned with corporate objectives.Lead annual business development plans, revenue forecasts, and growth targets.Advise executive management on market entry strategies and partnerships.Strengthen the company’s market positioning and brand presence.Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, developers, government authorities, and partners.Act as the main commercial interface during early project discussions and negotiations.Represent the company in high-level meetings, events, and industry forums.Lead bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions for major projects.Provide strategic direction to proposal development for major and complex bids.Review and approve commercial terms, fee strategies, and risk allocation.Support contract negotiations until successful award.Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team.Maintain oversight of the opportunity pipeline and CRM systems.Report regularly to executive management on performance, risks, and forecasts.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business or Management is highly preferred.12–18 years of experience in engineering consultancy or construction-related industries.Minimum 6–8 years in business development or commercial leadership roles.Proven track record of winning large-scale consultancy projects.Deep understanding of engineering consultancy services and project life cycle.Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
