Qt is where software excellence begins—and where your next chapter starts.About The Role Currently, Qt is used by customer in a wide range of industries in Japan and we are expanding sales of Qt product lineup and related services to further strengthen our customers in the Japanese market. Japanese market is one of the most important markets for Qt and it will be a great career advancement opportunity for Senior Business Development Specialist.What You’ll Do Proactively research, identify, and engage with potential clients and business partners to generate outbound leads and create new business opportunities for Qt products and Qt’s Quality Assurance software tools (collectively referred to as “Qt+QA”), primarily within the Japanese automotive industry. Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify new market segments and opportunities for Qt+QA. Expand the customer base while enhancing value for existing clients. Continuously stay up to date on the latest Qt+QA product features and use cases. Package this knowledge into tailored demos, customer-specific proposals, and POC projects that align with the needs of automotive industry clients in Japan. Plan, host, and participate in webinars, seminars, conferences, workshops, trade shows, and other relevant marketing events to generate high-quality outbound leads through compelling presentations of the Qt+QA value proposition. Build and nurture an ecosystem around Qt+QA by collaborating with industry-related partners such as system integrators, service providers, license distributors, and global/local chipset or board vendors. Work together to uncover and pursue new customer opportunities, especially in the automotive sector. Act as a liaison between the market and internal teams, gathering and sharing customer feedback with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing to shape product direction and improve value delivery. Collaborate closely with the Sales team to hand overqualified Qt+QA business opportunities for successful deal closure. What You Bring To The Table Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English proficiency. 8+ years of account management or business development experience in vertical solution sales within the automotive software industry, or 5+ years of experience in sales or FAE roles, preferably focused on embedded software testing, verification, or static code analysis. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to understand customer requirements and propose tailored Qt+QA solutions. Proven track record in solution and project-based sales in the automotive software licensing domain. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Bonus Points For...Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Programming experience in C/C++/Python is a plus. Familiarity with AUTOSAR or similar software architecture platforms. Certification or knowledge in ASPICE or other automotive software process standards is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with static code analysis, software quality assurance, or safety certification standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or MISRA. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices within automotive embedded systems.
