Senior Business System Analyst

Role DescriptionThe Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) drives business and system analysis across Amrod’s enterprise platforms, ensuring the delivery of scalable, efficient, and value-driven technology solutions. This role leads requirement definition, solution alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic projects and large-scale system changes. The Senior BSA also coaches intermediate and junior analysts and contributes to process maturity and best-practice adoption within the IT department.Skills & Knowledge Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or related fieldProfessional Business Analysis or Product Certification (CBAP, AAC, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) advantageousStrong understanding of Agile and SDLC methodology5+ years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in a complex IT environmentProven delivery of medium-to-large systems and digital transformation initiativesAdvanced capability in requirements elicitation, business process modelling, and solution designExperience with enterprise systems, integrations, and cross-platform business processesAdvanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and similar toolsStrong facilitation, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated ability to coach and guide analystsStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skillsKey Performance Areas Lead complex business and system requirement analysis - End-to-end clarity and alignment with business and technical stakeholdersProduce detailed BRDs, user stories, workflows, data requirements, and interface specs - Documentation is accurate, complete, and approvedDrive solution design and support architectural discussions - Solutions aligned to business objectives and system landscapeSupport and influence product backlog prioritisation - Priorities reflect business value, risk, and strategic objectivesCoordinate with Developers, Testers, Vendors, and Architects - Requirements understood and delivered effectivelyLead UAT planning and oversight - Smooth UAT execution and resolution of defectsEnsure traceability and governance across full SDLC - Full lifecycle documentation and change traceabilityIdentify and drive process and system improvement initiatives - Measurable improvement in system and process efficiencyShould you be keen and meet the requirements, please forward your CV to: recruitment@amrod.co.za Please quote the reference: Linkedln - SBSA01
