Senior Claims Consultant

Career Level 3We are looking for a Senior Claims Consultant for our Life Claims Management Team reporting to the Head of Claims Operations. The Life Claims Management Team is responsible for prudent risk management and contributing to the profitability of the Munich Re of Africa Branch (MRAB) Life portfolio.Your Role: Providing claims risk management expertise to the MRAB Life team and clients Marketing of claims risk management services to clients (Life Insurance companies) Promoting and ensuring claims risk management practices relating to the MRAB Life portfolio Establishing and managing relationships with Claims Managers and other decision makers Ensure profitability of portfolios through prudent claims risk management practices Providing advice to clients with regard to international and local best practices Responsible in ensuring validity of claimsYour profile: BSc – Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology or Equivalent Minimum 5 years life claims assessment and case management experience in the insurance industry (dealing with Life Claims) Minimum 2 years Retail Life claims experience Sound report writing skills Fair financial acumen Ability to analyse data that inform business practices and approachesOur Benefits: Life and Health Benefits Retirement Benefits Hybrid working environment Bonus Scheme Employee Assistance ProgramAt Munich Re, we embrace and value the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and thought.
