The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives that enhance our corporate reputation, engage key stakeholders, and support business objectives across the German market. The role will align with Rivada’s strategic communications program to ensure that Rivada Space Networks GmbH is seen as a key component of of the German “NewSpace“ ecosystem. This role is based in Munich, Germany and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.This includes:Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies and plans aligned with the company’s values and objectives within Germany and the EUMedia Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with German media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Draft press releases, coordinate media interviews, and manage crisis communicationsMonitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage, analyse communication outcomes, and prepare regular reports for senior managementStakeholder Engagement (External): Liaise with key stakeholders such as business partners, government agencies, and industry associations to promote the company’s initiatives and reputationStakeholder Engagement (Internal): Liaise with the Deputy CEO, Business Development Director and coordinate with Regulatory Affairs & Lobbyists to ensure alignment across all outreach activitiesEvent Management:Organise and support corporate events, press conferences, and other public affairs activities in GermanyBrand Management: Ensure consistent corporate brand messaging and positioning across all communication channels, including digital, print, and eventsWhat You Bring On The TableBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years’ experience in corporate communications, preferably within the German Satcom marketExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both German (native or fluent) and EnglishStrong network of media contacts in Germany is highly desirableExperience in crisis communications and managing reputational issuesProficiency in digital and social media platformsAbility to work independently and as part of an international teamStrategic thinker with strong analytical skillsProactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyHigh level of cultural awareness and understanding of the German space business landscapeStrong interpersonal and relationship-building abilitiesAttention to detail and a commitment to excellenceWhy you should join usWe are an international team of space enthusiasts, following one great vision. Rivada's global low-latency point-to-point network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique next-generation constellation combining inter-satellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This "orbital network," in which data stays in space from origin to destination, creates an ultra-secure satellite network with pole-to-pole coverage, offering end-to-end latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances. And by routing traffic on a physically separated network, it provides a layer of defense for any organization that needs to securely share data between widely distributed sites.
