49 Solutions is seeking a Senior Computer Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support services for our client in the Federal Government sector.Overview:The role contributes to the design, coordination, and implementation of secure data transfer solutions within the Compute Hub, enabling one-way data movement between Google Cloud and CSNI environments. It also supports interoperability between classified and unclassified domains, while adhering to engineering standards and ITIL-based change management practices.RequirementsMinimum Requirements:Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science (or related field) from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution Minimum 24 months of relevant computer support or technical experience Must clearly demonstrate 10 years' experience within the past 15 years, in deploying and supporting enterprise-level IT systems, including server-based applicationsMust clearly demonstrate five (5) years' experience in implementing complex security controls and participating in system change management within the Government of CanadaMUST hold a valid Secret Security clearanceTypical Duties May Include:Coordinating emerging technology application specifications Acting as a liaison between vendors, technicians, and end-users Providing user training and technical support for emerging technologies Reproducing and resolving technical issues Implementing and advising on complex security requirements Supporting network, system, and Internet-related issues Maintaining logs of problems and solutions Designing and deploying server-based systems and applications Participating in department-wide system upgrades
