Senior Construction Manager

Job Title: Senior Construction Manager – Stadium Project Location: Dammam KSA Reports To: Project Director Department: ConstructionJob Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium project. The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall project delivery, ensuring the stadium is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves managing construction teams, contractors, and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining the integrity of the design and engineering specifications.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight:Lead and manage the construction phase of the stadium project from inception to completion.Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure effective coordination between all stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors.Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Develop and manage the project schedule, including planning and monitoring progress, to ensure milestones are met.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and manage the construction team, including junior managers, supervisors, and site engineers.Ensure effective communication and teamwork between departments (design, engineering, procurement, etc.).Conduct regular performance reviews and provide support for career development.Budget and Cost Control:Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring that costs are kept within the approved financial plan.Review and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and claims.Identify and resolve any issues related to cost overruns and scope changes.Quality and Safety Assurance:Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for safety violations.Ensure that quality control procedures are followed, meeting or exceeding client specifications and industry standards.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor construction quality and site safety.Stakeholder Management:Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction team and senior management, stakeholders, and external clients.Attend and represent the company in regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, issues, and risks.Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and contractors to ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards.Risk Management:Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure all potential project risks are managed, documented, and communicated to stakeholders.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications is a plus.Experience:Minimum 10+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.Proven experience managing complex stadium or sports facility projects.Extensive experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.Strong background in managing cross-functional teams and subcontractors.Skills:Expertise in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Preferred Skills:Certification in Project Management (PMP) or other relevant certifications is preferred.Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and digital project management tools.Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building certifications (LEED, etc.).Personal Attributes:Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Working Conditions:Full-time position, primarily based on-site.Flexibility required to meet project deadlines and travel requirements.Occasional evening or weekend work depending on project requirements.
