Job DescriptionThe Senior Consultant role is a high-visibility position that provides extensive opportunities to foster and grow your consulting career. You will be expected to engage directly with clients on various Procurement, and Supply Chain related initiatives focused on improving efficiency, driving effectiveness, and increasing the ability to influence spending and drive value through their organizations.What can you expect to do?Flexible and adaptable to perform under pressure; operate in ambiguous situations with minimal oversight, excel in rapid problem-solving while ensuring attention to detailAbility to establish strong client relationships to gain exposure and experience by working with cross-functional teams on various projects, ranging from spend analysis, strategic sourcing, forecasting, and consolidationUnderstand and effectively manage a team of 8 to 10 Analysts’ governance and performanceUnderstand the level of risk and propose mitigation plans; partner with other support teams to resolve requests/issues on timeClearly communicate team goals and deliverables and keep updated on scope changesCoach team members and provide the first-level advice on procedures and methodologiesSolve increasingly complex problems and effectively delegate to develop and groom team members for succession planningUse data analytics and storytelling techniques to enhance the client journeyConduct quantitative and qualitative assessments to develop TCO & Should Cost models and present findings to key client stakeholders by leveraging presentation, data analytics, advanced Excel competenciesWhat is the experience needed to be successful in this role?Previous experience in Supply Chain / Procurement5 - 8+ years previous supply chain, Procurement, or consulting experience with a Fortune 1,000 companyExpert level skills with financial assessments, data assessments, MS Excel (including pivot tables), creating charts and graphs, and creating MS PowerPoint presentationsAt least 3 years of Procure-To-Pay platform experience (Ariba, Coupa, etc.) is highly preferredAbility to work comfortably with all levels of the organizationSelf-starter, multi-task, flexible, demonstrating initiative and confidenceExcellent communication skills (written and verbal), including formal presentation skillsGood organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skillsAdaptable communication ability to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customersSupply chain and procurement assessments: interviewing, modeling and analytics, report writingStrategic Sourcing Initiatives: scoping, market and supplier research, RFx (development, management, and evaluation), negotiationsInternal: benchmarking, client research, proposal development, and other internal projectsDeveloping technical efficiency with spend assessments and visibility tools to scope opportunity assessments, e.g., create spend assessments, establish baseline spend, and calculate realized savings from sourcing events
