Company DescriptionACCIÓ is the Agency for Business Competitiveness, part of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat, the Government of Catalonia. Its aim is to boost the competitiveness and growth of the Catalan business fabric, through the promotion of innovation, business internationalization and the attraction of investments. It has a network of 40 offices around the world, 7 branches in Catalonia and collaborates with public and private institutions. The process has begun to fill a vacancy for Senior Consultant of the Catalan Foreign Office in Dubai. Mission: To contribute to the internationalization of Catalan companies by connecting them with the innovation ecosystem, as well as to attract foreign investment projects to Catalonia. The senior consultant will act as a strategic facilitator between Catalonia and the geographical area covered by the Office (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar), providing market knowledge, identifying business opportunities, and promoting high value-added projects. Accountable to: Manager of the Catalonia Trade & Investment's office in Dubai Role and responsibilities: ·       Prepare market studies and sectoral reports that provide strategic knowledge to Catalan companies and enable the development of internationalization, innovation, and foreign investment attraction projects.·       Identify relevant business, investment, and technological collaboration opportunities in the markets covered by the Office and turn them into opportunities for Catalan companies.·       Provide personalized support to Catalan companies in their process of entering or expanding within the geographical area of the Office, offering market information, connections with the local ecosystem, and recommendations tailored to their sector and level of maturity.·       Design, implement, and monitor consultancy projects in the areas of international promotion, innovation, and investment attraction, ensuring their quality, impact, and timely delivery.·       Manage and expand the Office’s network of contacts (investors, institutional actors, companies, accelerators, and innovation hubs) to facilitate collaborations and access to the local market. Essential requirements: ·       University degree, preferably in international trade, international relations, economics, business, or similar fields; or equivalent knowledge and experience.·       C1 level of English.·       Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in advising companies on international trade and managing internationalization, innovation, and/or foreign investment attraction projects.·       Ability to develop consulting projects with a results-oriented, rigorous, and proactive approach.·       Excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical ability, and client orientation.·       Availability to travel within the Dubai Office’s coverage area and to Catalonia. The following will be considered favorably: Working knowledge of Catalan and/or Spanish.Knowledge of Arabic.Possession of a visa or work permit for the United Arab Emirates.Previous experience working in the UAE or other international markets.Experience in public or private entities similar to ACCIÓ or in economic development agencies.Knowledge of the socioeconomic, business, and political reality of the Middle East region and/or Catalonia. Other considerations: It should be noted that the job requires residing in Dubai or its surroundings.That recruitment will be conducted from the Catalan Foreign Office in Dubai and will be subject to obtaining a visa.The incumbent will have an indefinite employment contract with a probationary period of 6 months.You will need to have the originals of the certifications as evidence of the qualifications, education and training mentioned in the curriculum. If this position matches your profile and you are eager to actively contribute to the internationalization of Catalan companies, we look forward to receiving your application. You have until November 21, 2025, to send your CV, a motivation letter requesting participation in the selection process, and the supporting documentation of your qualifications to Edurne Guinea Zubiaga (ezubiaga@catalonia.com) indicating reference 2025/71.
