Senior Cost Accountant

Cost AccountantJob Description:Analyze and calculate the actual costs of products and services, and prepare accurate cost cards that contribute to product pricing, control waste, and improve profitability, in accordance with the organization's policies and accounting standards.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare product cost cards for all manufactured items.Identify direct costs (raw materials, direct labor) and indirect costs (operating, energy, rent).Monitor daily production costs and link them to inventory and finished product.Analyze variances between standard and actual costs and suggest their causes and solutions.Calculate the cost of waste and loss and review them with the operations team.Coordinate with the operations and purchasing departments to update raw material prices periodically.Provide periodic reports on the cost of sales and profit margin for each product or category.Contribute to product pricing and offers based on actual data.Support management in making decisions to reduce costs and improve production efficiency.Skills and Requirements:Experience in industrial or food cost accounting (restaurants, cafes, factories).Advanced knowledge of cost allocation methods and variance analysis.Proficiency in using Excel/Google Sheets to prepare analytical models.Good understanding of inventory, production, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., ERP or similar systems).High accuracy in calculations and analysis, and the ability to extract clear financial indicators.Skilled in communicating with operations, purchasing, and inventory departments.
