The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and project management, with a proven track record of successfully controlling costs and managing budgets for large-scale projects. The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on schedule.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and actual costs- Monitor project expenses and identify any variances from the budget- Work closely with project managers to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked and reported- Analyze project data and provide regular reports to management on project financial performance- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for improvement- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor contracts and invoices- Participate in project planning and provide input on cost-related matters- Mentor and train junior cost control staffQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the construction industry- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and cost control principles- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial management software- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Proven leadership and team management experience- Fluency in English, both written and verbal- Knowledge of Arabic is a plus
