Location: Singapore OR Hong KongWe are working with a globally based technology firm to hire a technology / software focused transactional / commercial lawyer.This is a new and critical hire to support the Asia-Pacific market which includes key countries such as Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.Focus of WorkCorporate & Commercial: 70%APAC Strategy / Growth: 30%Job DescriptionIn this role you will support the AP market business leaders with on-going transactions, marketing, sales, commercial contracts and day to day advice.Your role will take a leading role on complex transactions, ensuring legal support is available throughout deal lifecycles.You will also support product teams with the development of new products, services and solutions.This is a Director level role which forms part of the leadership team in Asia, offering oversight and exposure to strategic operations for a multi-billion dollar company.Reporting to the General Counsel and forming part of her key APAC team, your career development is of the highest importance.Requirements10 - 18 PQE (Guideline)Corporate and commercial background, ideally with a mix of law firm and In-HouseIn-House background from stable technology based businesses essentialAbility to work with sales, marketing and product teams across AsiaAbility to work across cultural barriers, not just in Asia but the UK and USSpoken mandarin essential SD Legal was established in 2018 and now with physical office locations across Europe and Asia.To date we have successfully closed over 150+ mandates across the globe, locations include the US, UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and APAC regions.
