Find out more at www.payu.com About the Team:The Risk Organization at PayU is a dynamic, data-driven team responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks across our payment ecosystem. We leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence to protect both our merchants and customers from fraud while ensuring seamless payment experiences. Our team collaborates closely with product, technology, and business units to deliver innovative risk management solutions that support PayU's growth in the competitive fintech landscape.About The RoleAs a Senior Data Analyst in our Risk Organization, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive risk management strategies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing analytical frameworks, creating comprehensive dashboards, and developing data models that enable proactive risk identification and mitigation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on PayU's risk management capabilities while working with cutting-edge technologies in the fintech space.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting systems to monitor key risk metrics and KPIsPerform in-depth analysis of transaction patterns, user behaviors, and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunitiesDevelop and implement data models and algorithms to detect and prevent fraudulent activitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutionsCreate and automate regular reports for stakeholders across the organizationConduct root cause analyses for risk incidents and recommend preventive measuresSupport the development and refinement of risk policies based on data-driven insightsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains through data analysisStay updated with industry trends and best practices in risk analytics and data visualizationMentor junior analysts and contribute to building analytical capabilities within the teamRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles, preferably in fintech, payments, or financial servicesProven experience with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SASStrong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms)Experience in setting up dashboards and reporting systems from scratchKnowledge of risk management concepts and fraud detection methodologies is highly desirableExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasetsStrong communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plusUnderstanding of machine learning concepts and their application in risk management is advantageousSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentOur Commitment to Building A Diverse and Inclusive WorkforceAs a global and multi-cultural organization with varied ethnicities thriving across locations, we realize that our responsibility towards fulfilling the D&I commitment is huge.
