Senior Data Engineer

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer/ModellerRole (Opening/Closing no Bullet Points, WIFM 1,2,3):We are seeking a Data Modeller / Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data models and pipelines that support BI, reporting, and data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-centric industries, strong knowledge of CRM and billing systems, and hands-on expertise with Databricks and ETL tools. This role requires effective communication with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.Hybrid in BrusselsEnglish Speaker (Dutch or French is a bonus)12 month contract (view of 1 year extension already)Responsibilities:Design and implement data models for BI, reporting, and data science use cases.Work with CRM and billing systems to understand and optimize data structures.Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using Databricks, Dataiku, or similar tools.Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across platforms.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.Support data warehousing initiatives, including lakehouse and SQL-based architectures.Skills/Must have:Proven experience in data modeling within a customer-centric industry.Strong understanding of CRM and billing systems and their data structures.Hands-on experience with Databricks, database schema design, and ETL tools (e.g., Dataiku).Proficiency in designing models for BI, reporting, and data science use cases.Solid knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.English Speaker (Dutch or French is a bonus)
