SENIOR DESIGNER / ART DIRECTOR

Tantrum Studio is seeking a full-time Senior Designer / Art Director to join our team. This role calls for a highly creative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive the visual and conceptual direction of projects from pitch to final delivery. You’ll be responsible for shaping ideas, guiding design, and ensuring that every project meets the highest level of creative excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead the creative development of projects, from initial concept and styleframes to final execution across 2D/3D animation and motion design.Work with Creative Director to define and articulate the visual language and design approach, ensuring creative consistency across all deliverables.Present concepts and work directly to clients with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm, guiding feedback into actionable creative solutions.Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to bring fresh, innovative thinking to every project.RequirementsStrong portfolio demonstrating outstanding design and art direction across multiple styles and formats.Proven experience leading creative teams in motion designProficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop; solid understanding of 3D tools is a bonusExceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.Highly organized, proactive, and able to inspire and motivate under tight timelines.Character design and illustration skills are a plus.Application DetailsPlease apply with your portfolio/reel, resume, and a brief cover letter to jobs@tantrum.studio.This role requires candidates to be based in Toronto. No phone calls please.www.tantrum.studio
