Backed by leading international venture capitalists, our world-class team of scientists and engineers is redefining the frontiers of AI and life sciences.What You'll Be DoingAs our Senior Director for Business Development, you will have ownership over the following strategic domains:Influence The Go-to-market StrategyAnalyze & identify the optimal positioning to successfully deploy our science, models and products.Develop Strategic PartnershipsIdentify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in biopharma.Revenue Growth And Target AchievementDrive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding business development targets. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.Stakeholder EngagementActively promote Bioptimus at industry events, conferences, and through digital platforms.Develop & deliver compelling pitches and presentations to engage potential clients and partners.Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and stakeholders while continually expanding the company’s network.Teamwork And CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment of business strategies and goals.What You'll BringThe successful candidate is a strategic thinker and a pragmatic builder, with a proven track record of scaling the business development function in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.Master Degree in Business or Science (or equivalent experience)Expert level in a relevant environment (selling to Pharma & Biotech) with a proven track record in terms of business impactFamiliarity with AI models to accelerate early research, clinical development, trial optimization, biomarker discovery and diagnosticsUnderstanding the biomedical ecosystem and the biomedical data lifecycleUnderstanding of SaaS / software business modelsProven track record in meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targetsFlexibility and creativity in solving complex customer problemsIn-depth knowledge and extensive network within large pharmaceutical R&D in the US/EUExcellent time management and record keeping skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA ‘team-first’ kind of attitudeThrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentBe fun to work withHow To Stand OutYou have previous experience in a high growth, VC backed companyYou have international and multicultural work experienceYou have a PhD in related field (e.g., Biology, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence)The candidate journeyTo be considered, please submit your CV in English.We believe in a transparent and collaborative interview process. Please note that the order may be adapted and additional conversations may be included to ensure a comprehensive evaluation.Live Case Study (1 hour): This stage may involve a live case study focused on technology, your sales experience, or a "Sell Bioptimus" exercise. Tech / Product Oriented Interview (1 hour): This stage involves a discussion focused on the technical and product aspects of the role. Tech Interview (30 min): Discuss our current technical setup and infrastructure with members of our Tech team responsible for the areas within this role's scope Exec Interview: Meet with senior leadership to discuss your vision for the role and explore cultural alignment. Offer: Following the completion of all interviews, our hiring team will make a final decision and will be in touch to share the outcome.
