Job Description
MissionBuild, contract, launch, and continuously manage a best-in-class network of Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) to enable our company to start last-mile operations in the Netherlands and Belgium, delivering a seamless customer experience, competitive cost, and sustainable logistics practices.Key Responsibilities- Strategic SourcingConduct market mapping: identify and segment all potential DSPs (postal, parcel, same-day, bike couriers, specialist cold-chain, locker networks, etc.) across NL/BE.Run end-to-end RFI/RFP processes: draft documentation, define evaluation criteria, and coordinate cross-functional scoring.Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, carbon-reduction targets, and data-sharing requirements.Build total cost of ownership (TCO) models and scenario analyses to support executive decision-making.- Partner Onboarding & Network DesignLead due diligence visits (hubs, micro-fulfilment centers, rider fleets) and compliance checks (ADR, GDP, ISO, labor law).Collaborate with Engineering & IT to ensure API/EDI integration, real-time Track & Trace, and performance dashboards.Coordinate pilot launches; monitor KPIs and lead root-cause analysis until successful handover to Operations.- Ongoing Vendor ManagementOwn the DSP governance framework, including business reviews, continuous improvement action plans, and corrective measures.Monitor operational KPIs (OTD, first-time delivery rate, shrinkage, CSAT/NPS, CO₂ per parcel) and partners’ financial health.Drive contract renewals, rate reviews, capacity planning (Peak/Black Friday/Christmas), and contingency strategies.- Process & Stakeholder LeadershipDevelop sourcing playbooks, contract templates, risk registers, and audit protocols for the Benelux roll-out.Act as the key point of contact for Legal, Finance, Sustainability, Customer Service, and external regulators.Mentor junior analysts and foster a data-driven, customer-centric culture within the logistics team.Job RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.7+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing or vendor management within parcel, e-commerce, 3PL, or express logistics.Proven track record of running complex RFPs and negotiating multi-million-euro contracts.Deep knowledge of last-mile cost drivers, routing technologies, and EU labor & transport regulations.Fluent in English; good command of Dutch or French (both is a plus).Valid EU work authorization and a Class B driver’s license.
