Job Description

Job Summary:Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all types of construction equipment in the field and in the workshop.Perform the job assigned in a timely and accurate manner, and develop the initiative to learn and perform Mechanical and Electrical skills independently and with confidence.Key Accountabilities:Trouble shoot, maintain, and repair electrical problems on heavy construction equipment, including but not limited to the equipment mentioned below.Perform detailed fault-finding inspections on all types of construction equipment.Independently decide on whether to stop a machine in the field to avoid damage before commencement of repairs.Independently determine if a machine should be exchanged or can be repaired in the field in case of breakdown.Submit accurate and complete Inspection Reports, as required by the Service procedures in the field and the workshop.Note and report all defects, damage, misuse, abuse or lack of maintenance on the equipment inspected in the field and the workshop.Advise and note on the Service Work Order all estimated and actual Parts requirements, cost, and time needed to repair equipment within the Service procedures.Give instructions, assistance, and training to other Mechanics or Electricians, as required by the Rental Service Supervisor.Responsible for the return of literature, tools, equipment, and Parts, at the end of each working day, to its allocated place.In conjunction with other Service personnel, fit, connect, and arrange setups, including cabling of generators and auxiliary equipment, in accordance with the technical specifications and requirements, always maintaining safety precautions.Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude:Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Secondary level of education, followed by Electrical apprenticeship.Knowledge: Understand Service manuals and write Work Orders.Technical Skills: Mobile machinery includes Cranes T.M., A.T., R.T., Wheel Loaders, Forklifts, Compactors, Dozers, Graders, Backhoe Loaders, Excavators, Man Lifts, Skid steer Loaders, Telescopic Handlers, Trucks. Stationary machinery includes Generators, Compressors, Tower Lights, and Welders.Language Skills: Arabic is desirable, and English is essential.Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a similar field. Proven experience in working in field service and workshops on heavy construction equipment, diesel generators, transformers, panel boards, and cables.
