SENIOR ELECTRONICS ENGINEER2M Engineering is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer / Architect with strong embedded firmware skills and at least 5+ years of industrial experience. You have a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering and a proven track record in turning new concepts into prototypes and finished products. You enjoy being a hands-on engineer, but you also take ownership and responsibility for getting things moving – from design and verification through to industrialisation and support of production. Affinity and experience with production environments and (embedded) software development are essential.2M Engineering develops high-tech sensor products for applications ranging from professional wearables to large industrial and safety-critical installations and point-of-care medical devices. More information and examples of our products and projects can be found on our website.WE ARE LOOKING FOR..We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer / Architect with at least 5+ years of industrial experience in electronic product development and a strong track record in embedded systems. You have demonstrable experience in taking new concepts through architecture definition, prototyping and product realisation, and you are comfortable working across applications ranging from professional wearables to large industrial and safety-critical installations and point-of-care medical devices.You combine drive and ownership with an eye for detail, and you are able to translate theory and new ideas into robust, practical solutions. You have proven expertise in defining product architectures and in the design, development and testing of both analog and digital electronics. Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with wireless connectivity, embedded firmware and sensor electronics are essential.In this role you switch easily between multiple projects of varying technical complexity and maturity. You communicate clearly and work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, including sensor physics, mechanical engineering, signal processing, quality and (embedded) software, to jointly deliver high-quality products.ROLE DESCRIPTIONAs Senior Electronics Engineer you are responsible for the architecture, design, simulation, realisation (schematic capture and PCB layout) and verification of the electronics in our products. You work end-to-end, from concept to validated hardware, in close collaboration with other disciplines.Embedded software is an integral part of our solutions. Experience and affinity with embedded firmware development in C is essential, and you understand the interaction between hardware and software at system level. You are conceptually strong and able to translate ideas and requirements into robust, manufacturable embedded hardware designs. We are looking for an energetic professional with a positive mindset and a “can do” attitude, who enjoys tackling complex challenges together with the team. Skilled in simulation, schematic design and PCB layout, C, C++ ARM. Good knowhow and up to date knowledge of various (embedded) hardware platforms.Affinity with high-tech, point of care medical devices, wearables and industrial sensor solutions.Experience with EMC, RF radio and product safety testing.Knowledge on methods, techniques and tools required for software development (Agile, SCRUM etc).Working knowledge of the English language.Characteristics:Technically skilled, eye for detail, accurate and professional.Reliable energetic personality that delivers what is promised.Take initiative and responsibility.Positive, can-do attitude.Works well in a team and communicates clearly.Able to work in a structured way and improve existing processes.Able to organize own work (planning, prioritise, deliver on commitments).Ability to work independently as well as, as part of a team.
