Job Description

Our client is a global organization operating numerous legal entities across the EMEA region. The Finance & Controllership team is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial performance reporting. To support their expanding operations, they are seeking a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist.In this role, you will be responsible for monthly accounting and internal reporting under US GAAP, annual statutory reporting under local GAAP, tax compliance, audit coordination, and supporting regional financial processes. You will collaborate closely with regional controllership, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders across EMEA.Key Responsibilities:Perform accurate and timely monthly accounting, closing, and internal reporting in line with company policies and US GAAP.Ensure statutory and tax filings (annual accounts, direct tax returns, and other required reports) for multiple entities in the Central European region.Coordinate and manage statutory audits, acting as the main contact for external auditors and accounting providers.Maintain US GAAP to local GAAP reconciliations and proper documentation of timing/permanent differences.Apply expert accounting knowledge to support regulatory reporting and prepare documentation as needed.Proactively enhance processes and propose improvements.Support corporate income tax audits when required.Participate in regional or EMEA-level ad hoc projects.Collaborate effectively with business partners and Finance teams across departments and countries.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.5 years of accounting experience in a multinational company or Big4 environment.Strong understanding of US GAAP and at least one EMEA statutory GAAP.Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP, Power BI, Blackline, OneSource, or similar tools.Strong analytical skills and a risk-based approach to work.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); an additional European language is a plus.Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment and support team members.Proven problem-solving mindset, preferably with Lean or Six Sigma experience.Strong time management and interpersonal skills.BenefitsPerformance-related bonus scheme.Comprehensive health and wellbeing support.Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.Flexible working arrangements and hybrid work options.Contribution to pension or retirement savings plans.International work environment with cross-functional collaboration.Support for professional certifications and trainings.
