The individual will report directly to the Commercial Director and will work closely with other members of the senior management team.POSITION INFO:Key Responsibilities but not limited to:Be eligible to register as a Key Individual in respect of the FSCAManage the accounting functionDirect and lead the Finance Department teamEnsure IFRS complianceResponsible for monthly reporting, Annual Financial Statements of several companies and the audit engagementExperience with, or possess a sound conceptual understanding of, the principles inherent in a financing businessVAT & income tax returns & SARS queriesInsurance mattersBudgetsKey Process managementEnsure effectivenessMaintain efficienciesSign off process compliance activitiesManage projects:o Sculp, Plan, Execute, and DebriefCoordinationManage project resourcesPrepare reportsTimeous deliveryAlert Management to exceptionsCash flow management & forecastsCompile reports and present to ExcoPrepare reports for Board meetings and fundersad hoc tasksRequired QualificationsBCom (Hons) / CTA with Accounting as a majorDesired Skills And ExperienceMinimum of 15 years’ experience (preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies including reporting to external stakeholders)Leadership experience in a financial roleWorking knowledge of IFRSProject managementGeneral Microsoft office toolso Excel – AdvancedExposure to ERP systems & Xero/Sage/QuickbooksFlexibility to adapt with business changesAnalytical mind, organized, precise and meticulousProblem solverAbility to take initiative, learn quickly and strive for resultsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong team player and motivatorApplication RequirementsCVCover/Motivation Letter
