A key part of your role is to review and challenge how asset and liability management is handled, making sure risks are properly identified, measured, and kept within approved limits. You’ll lead our approach to model risk management and provide expert analysis to monitor market conditions. Reporting to the Specialist Risk & Assurance Lead, you’ll also support strategic decisions through robust stress testing and scenario analysis.What You’ll Do Asset & Liability Risk Oversight: Review and challenge how asset and liability management is performed, ensuring risks are identified, measured, and remain within appetite Model Risk Management: Focus on validation, design and maintenance. Lead stress testing and scenario analysis, ensuring models are robust, transparent, and compliant New & Emerging Risks: Develop methods to measure and report on new and emerging risks such as climate risk Promote Risk Culture & Teamwork: Foster a positive risk culture, share knowledge, and collaborate across the business.What You’ll BringDegree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field Strong understanding of financial markets and risk management Experience in financial analysis, treasury, or similar roles Proficiency in financial modelling and stress testing Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Knowledge of APRA standards and the three lines of defence model Fresh perspective to challenge the status quo with a proactive and collaborative mindset You build strong relationships and are trusted by colleagues.What’s In It For YouIMB Bank is a leading member-owned bank offering a full range of products and services in both retail and business banking.
