JOB DESCRIPTION• Brainstorm and establish the core concept, genre, and unique gameplay hooks. Define and champion the overall player experience and emotional journey. • Design, document, and balance all major game systems, including combat, player progression, game economy, and core gameplay loops. • Create engaging level layouts, missions, and puzzles. Collaborate on world-building, character development, and narrative integration to ensure a cohesive and immersive experience. • Author and maintain a comprehensive Game Design Document (GDD) and other necessary documentation, creating clear wireframes, flowcharts, and specifications for the development team. • Build and test playable prototypes to validate concepts and test for "fun." Analyze playtest feedback and gameplay data to continuously refine and improve the game. • Act as the central communication hub for design, working closely with programmers to implement mechanics, artists to build functional worlds, and QA to identify and resolve design issues. 3. REQUIREMENTS• 3+ years of professional experience as a Game Designer, with at least one shipped title. • A portfolio showcasing your design process, including GDD excerpts, system breakdowns, and examples of your work in shipped or personal projects. • Hands-on experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine. • A deep, practical understanding of game design theory, systems design, game balance, and player psychology. • The ability to articulate complex design ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. 4.
