Location: Lahore, ParkistanExperience: 6+ YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeOverview:We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Pharmaceutical Chemist to lead and manage the formulation, testing, and quality assurance of our skincare and cosmetic product line. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cosmetic chemistry, ingredient interactions, regulatory compliance, and innovative formulation design, ensuring that all products meet both efficacy and safety standards. This individual will play a critical role in developing product specifications, managing lab-scale trials, and ensuring compliance with international cosmetic and pharmaceutical regulations.Key Responsibilities:Formulate and develop new skincare and cosmetic products from concept to final production.Conduct ingredient compatibility studies and stability testing to optimize formulations.Research innovative ingredients, trends, and technologies to improve product performance and sustainability.Create detailed formulation documentation, including lab notebooks, formulation records, and safety data.Ensure formulations comply with local and international cosmetic regulations (e.g., EU Cosmetic Regulation, FDA, ISO standards).Conduct and supervise testing for microbiological stability, pH, viscosity, and sensory performance.Collaborate with regulatory teams to prepare technical dossiers and Product Information Files (PIFs).Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all laboratory and production activities.Oversee the transition of lab-scale formulations to full-scale production, ensuring consistency and efficiency.Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to texture, stability, or batch quality.Support procurement teams in sourcing high-quality, compliant raw materials and actives.Maintain up-to-date Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).Generate and manage formulation specifications, SOPs, and batch manufacturing records.Present reports on product performance, testing outcomes, and formulation improvements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biochemistry, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic or skincare formulation.Proven understanding of raw material chemistry, emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, and active ingredients.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for cosmetics (EU, GCC, SAHPRA, FDA).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in lab instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and Spectrophotometry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration.Preferred Attributes:Well spoken EnglishExperience working with natural and sustainable ingredients.Knowledge of product stability protocols and claims substantiation.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple formulation projects simultaneously.Passion for innovation and product development in the skincare or cosmetic industry.Key Deliverables:Formulated, tested, and validated product prototypes ready for scale-up.Regulatory-compliant documentation for each formulation.Batch consistency and product quality across all production phases.Continuous improvements to formulations and processes to enhance performance and cost efficiency.Send your CV, GitHub or portfolio link, and a short email introducing yourself to:📩 info@aj5d.comSubject line: Application – Pharmaceutical Specialist (Lahore)
