Senior Officer - ITDevelop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific data and information. Convert project specifications and statements of problems to software solution through coding and software development. Responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and networks and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.InternalAll departmentsExternalVendors, Telecom providersStrategicFocus on enhancing the efficiency of operations through automation and reducing paper work.Process/OperationalSystem Development: Conducting ERP architecture review, creating application schemas.Developing background procedures, functions and process as per development methodology and standards.Creation of new procedures/triggers required for the implementation of business process in the current system.Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.Monitoring and Tuning of database for new reports or as per requirements.Conduct trial runs and provide training prior to the deployment of new programs to end users.Database Administration.System SupportActively involved in the reconciliation of any discrepancies under inventory, sales or financials ledgers.Installing and updating Windows and Antivirus patches for entire LAN and WAN.Controlling Content management system (CMS) for company websiteFollow-ups with telecom providers for any connectivity issue.Routine backup of Application and Network Files and restoration as per requirements.Monitoring and control of attendance data at all punching devices installed at different locations.Handling the networking for remote locations using DSL lines, routers and windows terminal services using Sonic wall VPN connectivity required for the availability of application over internet 24X7.Setup up presentation that includes internet access, projector and screen setup.Data Extraction and compilation for presentation as Soft copy.Purchase or renewal of all existing licenses for hardware, software and barcodes with vendors.Education & Experience Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application>5 years experience in Core programming and system development with at least 3 years in Manufacturing organization handling database ,application and Desktops.Specific KnowledgeProficiency in Programming, System Design and analysisFluency in English, Arabic knowledge is added advantage.
