Job Description

Key Responsibilities·        Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan encompassing financial, operational, compliance, and risk-management activities across all business lines.·        Evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and alignment with international auditing standards.·        Conduct in-depth audits of brokerage, asset management, custody, and investment-banking operations to verify adherence to regulatory frameworks and internal governance principles.·        Identify control gaps and operational inefficiencies, providing practical, value-added recommendations that enhance process integrity and business performance.·        Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee, clearly outlining findings, risk implications, and agreed corrective actions.·        Monitor and follow up on the timely implementation of audit recommendations, escalating overdue or high-risk items as necessary.·        Collaborate effectively with external auditors, regulators (FRA, DFSA), and internal departments to maintain audit readiness and promote continuous improvement.·        Advise management on strengthening internal control systems and embedding a robust risk-awareness culture throughout the organization.·        Stay current on emerging regulations, industry best practices, and technological developments impacting internal audit and risk-governance functions.Qualifications & Requirements·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university.·        Minimum of six (6) years of experience in internal or external audit within financial institutions, investment firms, or brokerage companies.·        Professional certifications (CIA, MBA , ….) are strongly preferred.·        Thorough knowledge of Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and Capital Market Authority (CMA) rules and reporting obligations.·        Strong understanding of risk-management frameworks, internal-control systems, and corporate-governance principles.·        Excellent analytical and communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).·        High professional integrity, objectivity, and sound judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.·        Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office tools is an advantage.
