VFMC are seeking a highly motivated Senior Investment Analyst to join the newly formed Client Portfolio Design team.This role will play an essential part in shaping client portfolio outcomes through asset-liability modelling, strategic asset allocation analysis, and portfolio research.You will support the Head of Client Portfolio Design and work closely with investment teams to deliver data-driven insights, risk and return modelling, and thematic research that underpin VFMC’s long-term investment strategy.This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, collaborative investment professional passionate about applying quantitative and strategic thinking to institutional portfolio design.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct asset-liability modelling (ALM) for clients using Jacobi and other modelling platforms.Undertake risk and return modelling, stress testing, and liquidity analysis to inform strategic asset allocation (SAA) decisions.Contribute to the evolution of portfolio design through research, data analysis, and scenario testing.Prepare documentation and materials to support client briefings, Investment Risk Management Plan (IRMP) reviews, and committee presentations.Collaborate across investment teams to research themes impacting long-term portfolio construction. The ideal candidate3+ years’ experience in funds management, investment consulting, or institutional portfolio analysis.Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; Python skills are highly regarded.Sound understanding of financial markets, investment risk, and portfolio construction principles.Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts clearly.Tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline; postgraduate study (e.g. CFA) preferred.
