About the RoleWe are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Senior Knitwear Designer to lead the design and development of our knitwear collections. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s knitwear identity—balancing innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability.This role requires a visionary designer with deep material knowledge, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and a strong understanding of the technical and industrial aspects of knitwear production.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative DevelopmentDesign and develop the knitwear category in alignment with the brand’s seasonal direction and overall creative vision.Lead concept development through moodboards, research, sketching, draping, and fabric exploration.Conduct vintage archive research and attend trade shows to identify trends, techniques, and inspiration.Design hardware and branding concepts specific to knitwear products.Product Development & SourcingSource yarns and develop stitches in close collaboration with European and Chinese factories and yarn mills.Prepare detailed launch files and ensure clarity and accuracy of design intent for development teams.Oversee all product-related aspects throughout the development process, ensuring consistency and quality.Provide feedback to factories post-fittings, ensuring fit, finish, and proportion meet brand standards.Lead fitting sessions, collaborating closely with the Creative Director and Technical Teams.Sustainability & Social ResponsibilityInitiate and lead sustainable capsule projects, incorporating waste or stock yarns into limited drops.Foster collaborations with factories that promote social responsibilityQualifications & SkillsDegree in Fashion Design or Textile Design, with a specialization in Knitwear.Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in luxury or contemporary fashion, with a focus on knitwear design.Strong technical knowledge of yarns, stitches, knitting techniques, and garment construction.Proven experience managing development with international suppliers and factories.Excellent sketching, draping, and visual communication skills (hand or digital), especially the Collage techniquePassion for craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainable practices.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.What We OfferA collaborative, creative environment that values innovation and authenticity.Opportunity to lead high-impact projects with sustainability and craftsmanship at their core.Global exposure through partnerships with leading mills, factories, and creative collaborators.
