To request an accommodation, please contact a member of the Ceva Talent Acquisition team.Your MissionsABOUT THE JOBCeva-Phylaxia seeks applicants for the full-time position of Senior Legal Counsel in the Legal Department within the Central & Eastern Europe & China regional structure of Ceva’s Phylaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district. This is a hybrid role with in-office requirements of 2 days per week (or 10 days per month).The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Legal Department is a trusted partner to the business, providing clear, solution-oriented legal guidance. The team supports operations in Hungary while also contributing to regional projects across Central & Eastern Europe and China.What You’ll DoReporting to the Associate General Counsel for Central & Eastern Europe and China, you will be the go-to partner for legal questions affecting Ceva’s Hungarian operations, with the opportunity to gain regional visibility. You will draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad spectrum of contracts and legal issues, ensuring that business goals remain central while managing risk effectively.YOUR DAY TO DAYDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including CAPEX, services, R&D, supply & distribution, and marketing agreements.Provide legal advice on Hungarian and EU competition law and broader commercial issues, and translate legislative changes into clear business guidance.Support the roll-out of compliance policies and assist with internal investigations.Act as the primary legal contact for HR on employment matters, including hiring, terminations, policies, disciplinary cases, and collective issues.Deliver legal and compliance training to business teams.Collaborate with global legal colleagues to build templates, playbooks, and best practices, ensuring alignment with group standards.YOUR FUTURE AT CEVAContribute to strategic R&D collaborations and complex commercial projects in Hungary and the wider CEE region.Support the ongoing transformation of legal operations through compliance initiatives and knowledge-sharing with global colleagues.Gain regional visibility and influence by working directly with senior stakeholders across Central & Eastern Europe and China.Your ProfileWHAT YOU WILL BRINGHungarian law degree (J.D. equivalent) or equivalent legal qualification.5–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with an international law firm or in-house at a multinational company.Fluent, business-level English and Hungarian, both written and spoken.Admission to the Hungarian Bar (ügyvédi kamara) and bar exam completed (strongly preferred).Proven expertise in commercial/civil and employment law; experience with competition or compliance matters is an advantage.Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Experience with the pharmaceutical sector is an advantage, though not required.
