Join us as our new Senior Legal Counsel!We are looking for an experienced shipping and offshore lawyer to join our global legal team. As Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with negotiating and advising on the full spectrum of our maritime contracts globally. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is confident navigating the complexities of commercial shipping and offshore arrangements.Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate key shipping contracts including offshore service, shipbuilding, sale and purchase agreements, towage and other contracts relating to all of DOF's activities. This will also include contracts and subcontracts for the integrated offshore services offered globally by DOF Group to our clientsAdvise on legal risks, liability, and regulatory compliance in complex maritime transactionsSupport commercial teams in structuring and negotiating shipping dealsMonitor developments in international maritime law and industry standardsAssist in establishing corporate structures in new jurisdictions and manage existing structuresCollaborate with international law firms across DOF's operational regionsAdvise on contract management and legal disputesThis position will report to Group General Counsel.RequirementsLaw degree or equivalent certification, with at minimum 5 years' experience from a law firm or international organisationExperience from the maritime, oil & gas or subsea industry with demonstrated understanding of maritime and offshore contract law and international contracts. Experience in negotiating standard shipping contracts and BIMCO documentationAnalytical with ability to prioritise tasksFamiliarity with English law is an advantageKnowledge of marine insurances is an advantageCommercially minded and with solid negotiating skillsSelf-driven with ability to work independently and collaboratively across jurisdictionsFluent in English, with good communication skills both spoken and writtenIs this the perfect role for you, but you don't meet every single requirement?
