Senior Linux Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team within the banking sector.The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), strong experience with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), and, ideally, hands-on knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), IBM Spectrum, and related IBM storage and monitoring tools.Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat-based Linux environments in a high-availability, regulated environment. Manage and optimize Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) configurations for critical services and applications. Support and administer backup and storage solutions, including IBM TSM and IBM Spectrum suite is a plus (not mandatory) Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Ensure systems comply with industry security standards and internal audit requirements. Collaborate with development, network, and storage teams to ensure seamless integration and support. Document systems, procedures, and policies to support knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance. Participate in on-call rotation, provide support during incidents, and change Linux Requirements 10+ years of experience as a Linux system administrator/engineer, with deep knowledge of RHEL (7/8/9). Strong expertise in high availability (HA) and clustering technologies, especially Veritas Cluster Server. Familiarity with IBM Tivoli, TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager), and/or IBM Spectrum Protect/Control is a strong plus. Solid understanding of storage systems, SAN/NAS concepts, and enterprise backup strategies. Good understanding of ITIL practices and experience working in regulated environments (banking/finance preferred). Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
