The company operates globally - including in Tokyo - and is known for its real-time security intelligence and innovative approach to combating sophisticated cyberattacks.Role We’re looking for a seasoned Linux Internals Engineer to join the Endpoint team and work at the very core of the company’s EDR/XDR technology. You will design and develop Linux kernel-level components and system-level features that power advanced threat detection. You will collaborate closely with other security experts, backend developers, and product managers to shape the future of the Linux sensor. This role requires strong C++ expertise, a deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, and a passion for building secure, high-impact software.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize Linux internals and kernel components for endpoint detection and responseArchitect scalable, reliable system-level solutions that integrate with the broader detection pipelineConduct performance profiling, low-level debugging, and optimization of kernel-mode codeCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and secure product deliveryConduct code reviews and mentor engineers on Linux and C++ best practicesStay current with developments in the Linux kernel ecosystem and contribute to internal technical strategyRequirements5+ years of professional experience in Linux systems programmingDeep understanding of Linux internals, including system calls, modules, and kernel architectureExpert-level proficiency in C++ (11/14/17) and modern system-level programmingExperience with debugging and profiling tools (e.g., GDB, perf, ftrace, strace, auditd)Strong grasp of Linux security mechanisms (access control, namespaces, cgroups, etc.)Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Make, CMake)AdvantagesHands-on experience with eBPF, ftrace, audit frameworks, or other kernel tracing toolsScripting experience (Python, Bash) for automation and toolingBackground in cybersecurity, malware analysis, or experience working with AV/EDR/EPP productsKnowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience leading projects or mentoring teams in remote or distributed environmentsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experienceThe company offers an international work environment, the opportunity to work on Linux internals powering advanced cybersecurity technology, professional growth through a collaborative and innovative environment, competitive compensation including bonus structure, flexible working hours with hybrid or remote options in Tokyo, and a comprehensive benefits package.Full-time role.
