Overview:The Senior Manager – Labor Compliances oversees all aspects of statutory compliance, audits, and labor law adherence for the organization across multiple locations. The role ensures that the company’s HR and operational practices remain legally compliant, ethically aligned, and in accordance with central and state labor regulations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage compliance with all labor laws including Shops and Establishment Act, EPF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Payment of Bonus, Payment of Gratuity, Maternity Benefits, and others as applicable.Conduct periodic internal audits and reviews of statutory records to identify non-compliances and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks to strengthen organizational adherence to labor regulations.Liaise with external regulatory bodies, government officers, and labor inspectors during inspections, hearings, and audits.Handle labor law-related litigation, notices, and audits in consultation with legal counsel.Monitor contractor compliance and ensure vendor adherence to all statutory obligations through audits and documentation checks.Stay updated with changes in labor legislation and ensure appropriate communication and implementation of new requirements.Provide guidance and support to HR, payroll, and warehouse operations teams on statutory compliance matters and employee relations.Train and sensitize managers and HR partners about labor law obligations and ethical workforce practices.Prepare periodic compliance dashboards and reports for management review and risk mitigation tracking.Required Qualifications and Skills:Minimum bachelor’s degree in labor law, HR, or Industrial Relations (Master’s in Law or HR preferred).Around 8-10 years of experience in labor law compliance, statutory auditing, or HR compliance management.Strong working knowledge of all central and state labor legislations and statutory portals (EPFO, ESIC, Shram Suvidha, etc.).Proven experience in managing multi-state compliances, government liaison, and audits.Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail capabilities.Proficiency in Excel and compliance management software/tools.
