About the roleReporting to the Head of Data and AI, this position will oversee and manage both the business intelligence (BI) and Data Governance supporting TSB's data and AI strategy. It is a strategic and hands-on role, responsible for developing and implementing BI strategies, ensuring data quality and security, and promoting data- driven decision-making throughout the organization.Who are you?Excellent verbal and written skills are important for this role, as you will be required to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical partners, translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with business units to transform data into actionable insights.You will require a highly strategic mentality, as you have the responsibility to formulate and execute the organization's BI and Governance strategy, and implement robust data governance policies, standards, and frameworks.You will be a hands-on practitioner with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively that ensure you meet commercial objectives, manage risks effectively, and deliver high-quality results.In this role, you can expect to:Promote a culture that prioritizes data-driven decision-making and help create a culture of ongoing professional growth and innovation.Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and manage the maintenance of the reporting ecosystem.Support standard data processes and foster continuous learning and development.Support advanced analytics initiatives (AI, Gen AI, etc.), ensuring they align with enterprise delivery methods.We are looking for candidates who have:A minimum of eight years in data, analytics, and BI lead roles.Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Azure, as well as cloud-native AI / ML tools, Tableau and Power BI.Proficiency in programming languages like SQL and Python, with machine learning expertise being an advantage.What’s in it for me?At TSB, we’re small enough to really care about our customers but big enough to have great rates, innovative products, and digital solutions.
