As we continue down this new and ambitious path, unique opportunities will present themselves, both professionally and personally.Join us, the future is ours to shape!We are currently hiring for a Senior Manager, European Public Affairs position based in Belgium.Your Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited ToStrategic Policy Engagement Provide proactive analysis and deep insights on the EU political environment, highlighting key issues likely to affect Sandoz’s ability to deliver access to affordable medicines in Europe; work with colleagues to explore new opportunities or anticipate potential risks. Monitor European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council of Ministers) to identify developments relevant to access, sustainability, and healthcare system priorities. Develop and lead execution of advocacy strategies that advance Sandoz corporate goals through targeted engagement with EU stakeholders in close collaboration public affairs colleagues and relevant functions.External Engagement & Advocacy Represent Sandoz with EU institutions, Member State Representations and trade associations. Build and maintain strong relationships with EU policymakers, officials and relevant stakeholders (Patients, NGOs, trade associations...). Develop and deliver effective advocacy tools (fact sheets, speaking points, presentations, position papers). Organize events, campaigns, and communications that enhance Sandoz’s visibility and reputation as a thought leader.Internal Collaboration Provide tailored political insights and updates to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with public affairs colleagues and experts across functions and geographies to ensure consistency in messaging and advocacy and alignment between Sandoz’s corporate priorities and our advocacy strategies. Support Sandoz leadership in preparation for meetings with policymakers and stakeholders.Education Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy or a related field.Languages Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is required. Fluency in other major European languages is an asset.Experience 5–7 years’ professional experience in European public affairs, preferably within EU institutions, the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector, consultancy, or NGOs. Demonstrated knowledge of European political processes and health policy issues. Experience engaging with EU policymakers and representing an organization in external forums.Competencies Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to anticipate trends. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to network and build trust with policymakers and stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment.
