Your determination to deliver quality and accuracy will improve health outcomes that people and communities depend on – now and in the future.Our Medical Writing team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Manager for an ICF Project Management team. This role is based in Eastern Europe.Discover Impactful Work:Lead ambitious initiatives that craft the future of clinical research. Your expertise will enable us to deliver flawless execution of the Informed Consent Form (ICF) development process, from Master ICF authoring through country and site adaptations.A Day in the Life:Manages ICF project managers (PMs) including management of workload, allocation of staff to projects, recruitment, development, training, performance, and personnel issuesSupports overall ICF PM resourcing process (ex, intake and triaging of requests, assignment management, and holiday/OOTO coverages)Identifies needs and promotes development of new departmental processes and standards. May lead departmental teams for process improvement and participates in cross-functional process developmentProvides advice and guidance to ICF PMs on technical and regulatory aspects of ICF management. Serves as first line of escalation for project risks. Develops and approves project budgets and advises direct reports on contract and budget issues for large complex projects. Duties could also include developing timelines, supporting kick-off or project launch meetings.Manages the business development and pricing of projects for one or more clients or alliance partners and participates in contract negotiations. Assists business development and senior management in securing new business by making presentations to clients.Participates in developing and reviewing proposal texts and budgets in collaboration with Proposal & Contracts Development. Assists with development of contract modifications and liaises with C&PD to follow through on all aspects of contract modification. Keys to Success:Strong background in ICF management, notably in country customization process.Strong project management skillsExcellent interpersonal skills including problem solving and negotiationAble to perform a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.EducationBachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification; Advanced degree preferredExperiencePrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).Experience working in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry preferredStrong experience in Clinical Operations is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills including problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skillsAbility to manage people including performance management, training, mentoring, directing and supervising work, and motivating employeesStrong project management skills, including the ability to plan and manage projects, create and modify project budgets, develop timelines, allocate resources, and forecast departmental workloadStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills needed to represent the department in a range of situations including bid defenses, capabilities presentations, and auditsIn depth knowledge of departmental processes; ability to identify emerging needs and propose/develop/ implement new or improved processesBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
