As a member of the Central Design & Construction team, this role will oversee all mechanical (MEP) aspects of data center development, with a strong focus on delivering efficient and high-performance cooling solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and execution of greenfield and brownfield data center projects to meet long-term capacity and business objectives.Support data center remodeling projects and the deployment of additional services in existing data halls.Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop conceptual design schemes.Prepare technical prospectuses, basis-of-design documents, and engineering design briefs for new and upgraded facilities.Manage the lead design consultant to ensure all designs and documentation are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.Adhere to established procedures and obtain all necessary internal and external approvals.Develop new procedures where required to support project execution and compliance.Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date project documentation.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design and on-site technical issues.Review and cross-check designs from other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, to ensure alignment and quality.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Extensive experience in greenfield design, live data center modifications, maintenance operations, testing and commissioning, MEP work planning and coordination.Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven environments, managing multiple priorities with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.Demonstrated experience in leading multi-discipline teams to successfully deliver complex projects.Confident and professional in client-facing interactions, with strong presentation skills.Experience with data center operations will be an added advantage.Up-to-date knowledge of cooling technologies and trends, with a focus on sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.Willingness to travel regionally as required to support project delivery.At BDx, we believe that our success lies in the hands of our talented and dedicated employees.
