This unique role combines chief of staff responsibilities with strategic program leadership, requiring a dynamic professional who can navigate between high-level strategic initiatives and hands-on execution. This position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).Responsibilities IncludeServe as strategic advisor and trusted partner to the CMO on key initiatives and decisionsManage CMO’s strategic priorities, ensuring alignment and execution across the marketing organizationFacilitate internal communications on behalf of the CMO, including leadership updates and organizational announcementsAct as liaison between the CMO and cross-functional stakeholders across the organizationStrategic Sports SponsorshipsLead strategy, activation, and ROI optimization for premier sports partnerships including NHL, Charlotte Hornets, and other major sports propertiesDevelop integrated marketing programs that maximize brand visibility and engagement through sponsorship assetsBuild relationships with league officials, team executives, and agency partnersMeasure and report on sponsorship effectiveness and business impactMarketing Operations & Rhythm of BusinessPlan and execute Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the marketing organizationDesign and facilitate monthly Marketing All Hands meetings that drive engagement, alignment, and cultureEstablish and maintain marketing team operating rhythms, ensuring consistent communication and collaborationTrack key marketing initiatives and ensure accountability for deliverablesTeam Development & CultureLead team-building initiatives that strengthen collaboration and morale across marketingPartner with CMO on organizational design and talent development strategiesFoster an inclusive, high-performance culture within the marketing organizationAI Adoption & Capability BuildingDrive AI adoption strategy across the marketing function, identifying high-impact use casesDesign and deliver training programs to upskill marketing team members on AI tools and applicationsStay current on emerging AI technologies and assess relevance for marketing operationsChampion a culture of innovation and continuous learning around marketing technologyRequired Skills And Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience10+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership rolesProven track record managing strategic sponsorships, preferably in professional sportsExperience in chief of staff or similar strategic operations role supporting C-level executivesDemonstrated success planning and executing large-scale programs, events, and communicationsStrong business acumen with ability to translate strategy into operational executionExcellent executive communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with AI technologies and marketing automation platformPreferred Skills And Professional ExperienceMBA or advanced degreeBackground working with NHL, NBA, or other major sports propertiesExperience leading organizational change and transformation initiativesFamiliarity with marketing analytics and performance measurementPrevious experience building and scaling marketing operations functionsWhat Success Looks LikeMarketing organization operates with clear cadence, alignment, and accountabilitySports sponsorships deliver measurable brand impact and business resultsTeam engagement scores and collaboration improve quarter over quarterMarketing team demonstrates increased AI proficiency and adoptionCMO can focus on external relationships and strategy, confident in operational excellenceYour future at PresidioJoining Presidio means stepping into a culture of trailblazers—thinkers, builders, and collaborators—who push the boundaries of what’s possible.
