Senior Manager – Marketing Role Description The Senior Manager – Marketing will lead the development and execution of Kimbal’s marketing strategy across digital, brand, and field channels. This role will strengthen Kimbal’s positioning as a leading smart metering and energy tech brand, generate qualified B2B leads, and support business growth across India and international markets.The position requires a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution, with close collaboration across Sales, Product, and Leadership teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Marketing Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement the annual marketing strategy aligned with sales and business objectives.Define target segments, campaign priorities, and budgets for maximum impact.Monitor key marketing performance metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly.2. Brand Building & CommunicationStrengthen Kimbal’s brand identity and visibility across channels (digital, events, PR, and offline).Create and manage corporate collaterals including brochures, product datasheets, case studies, and presentations.Develop impactful narratives that position Kimbal as a thought leader in smart metering and grid modernization.3. Digital & Performance MarketingPlan and execute lead-generation campaigns on LinkedIn, Google Ads, and SEO platforms.Manage website content, UX, and analytics to improve engagement and conversion.Measure campaign ROI and continuously enhance digital performance.4. Content MarketingLead the creation of blogs, newsletters, whitepapers, and videos to drive brand credibility.Work with internal technical experts to simplify and market complex solutions effectively.Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across all communication.5. Events & PartnershipsPlan and manage participation in industry exhibitions, utility summits, and technical conferences.Build relationships with industry bodies, media partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.Support pre- and post-event lead engagement activities with Sales.6. Market & Competitive IntelligenceTrack industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor positioning.Provide strategic insights to guide product positioning and go-to-market initiatives.7. Sales EnablementDevelop sales collaterals, pitch decks, and customer communication templates.Design lead nurturing and marketing automation workflows to support the sales pipeline.Align marketing initiatives with regional and global business priorities.8. Team & Vendor ManagementManage creative, digital, and event agencies for timely and high-quality deliverables.Mentor and guide internal marketing resources as the team expands.Current Focus & Challenges As Senior Manager – Marketing you will need to craft differentiated positioning that speaks to our strengths in overcoming these challenges (e.g., strong connectivity in remote areas, RF-based, retrofit friendly, low TCO, analytics-ready).You’ll need to own content and storytelling that builds trust and addresses the barriers: for example, case studies showing successful deployment despite connectivity issues; testimonials from utilities; metrics around ROI.You must segment markets smartly: target states/utilities which are execution-ready vs those still behind; tailor the messaging accordingly.Internally they must collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations so that marketing messages are realistic, credible and backed by tech. Finally, they must build market intelligence to keep track of regulatory changes, state-wise rollout pace, competitor behaviour, new technologies and ensure our messaging evolves.Job Requirements Qualifications MBA/PGDM in Marketing or equivalent from a reputed tier 1 institute.8–12 years in B2B or industrial marketing, preferably in energy, IoT, electronics, or technology sectors.Proven track record in lead generation, digital marketing, and brand building for technology-driven businesses.Experience in marketing to government or utility clients through tenders, conferences, and consultative selling models.Strong understanding of smart grid, metering, or energy technology domains (preferred).Hands-on expertise in LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, and analytics tools.Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills — ability to simplify technical concepts.Experience in content development (blogs, videos, whitepapers, case studies) and managing external agencies.Strong project management and multi-stakeholder coordination abilities.Analytical mindset with a focus on ROI measurement and data-driven decision-making.Ability to work collaboratively across functions — Sales, Product, Operations, and Leadership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization with high ownership and autonomy.Willingness to travel occasionally for events, exhibitions, and utility engagements within India and abroad.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools (like HubSpot or Zoho), and marketing automation platforms is a plus.Exposure to international marketing or emerging markets will be an added advantage.Leadership, team development, and stakeholder management skills.
