Senior Mechanical Inspector

*SMP OPPERTUNITY WITH OIL AND GAS COMPANY*Job Title: Senior Mechanical InspectorJob Overview:The Senior Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections and ensuring the mechanical integrity of systems and equipment in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, executing inspections during turnaround and on-stream operations, and verifying mechanical repairs. Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of applicable inspection codes and strong technical reporting skills.Key Responsibilities:Conduct inspections in accordance with ASME, ASNT, API 510 and 570 standards.Review and interpret mechanical drawings and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Prepare detailed technical and inspection reports.Perform inspections during turnarounds (T&I) and on-stream operations.Identify damage mechanisms and evaluate their impact on equipment integrity.Witness and verify mechanical repair and maintenance activities.Operate inspection-related software and digital tools.Work independently to plan and execute inspection tasks.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.10–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection, with a focus on T&I and on-stream inspections.Valid API 510 and API 570 certifications are required.Solid understanding of inspection codes and standards including ASME, ASNT, and API.Experience with various damage mechanisms and fitness-for-service assessments.Proficient in preparing inspection and technical reports.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Working knowledge of MS Office and inspection-related software tools.
