Senior Merchandiser

Carrefour Global Sourcing is seeking a dynamic Senior Merchandiser to join our team in Istanbul, Türkiye. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing high-quality products and supporting our business operations in Hardgoods.Responsibilities:Source suitable suppliers and factories to deliver the best products under optimal conditions, aligning with buyer requirements.Evaluate suppliers based on category priorities and corporate quality standards to ensure compliance.Manage the ordering process collaboratively, ensuring accurate preparation of orders and related documentation for smooth execution from request to shipment.Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams to address any quality or shipment issues promptly.Work closely with factories during the sample development stage to ensure product quality and specifications are met.Organize and participate in collection meetings to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.Gather insights from third-party sourcing vendors to stay informed on the latest market trends.Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, International Trade, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in a merchandising or sourcing position, preferably in hardgoods.Strong communication and presentation skills, with a customer-oriented approach and good negotiation abilities.Enjoys challenges, maintains a positive attitude, and can work effectively under pressure.Independent and proactive, capable of taking the initiative in various situations.Familiarity with European safety regulations and markets is a plus.Fluent in oral and written English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.Proficiency in MS Excel and related applications (Word, PowerPoint).Skills:Demonstrates resilience and a positive attitude when facing challenges, showing the ability to learn from experiences.Adapts quickly to new situations and embraces innovative problem-solving approaches, resourcefulness, highly structured, methodical and articulate.Collaborates effectively within teams, fostering a spirit of cooperation to achieve shared objectives.Maintains a strong customer-centric mindset, actively addressing customer needs and providing exceptional service.Benefits:Work with global, multicultural teams.Experience an open, collaborative work environment.Participate in regular social and fun activities.Note: To apply, please provide your CV in English.
