We design, implement and operate reliable video and audio solutions that capture, process and deliver clients’ content from any source, in any format, to any destination in the most efficient and reliable way possible.Main Purpose:The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, deploy and support Encompass’ global networking infrastructure in support of its products and services.The role will be part of a multi-regional network engineering team which will provide support to all Encompass’ regional operations.Principal Responsibilities:The Network Engineer will, under the guidance and direction of their manager, perform the following duties with respect to the company operated digital systems:Design and implement networking infrastructure supporting both broadcast and corporate networksDefine and enforce security policiesUndertake corrective maintenance as necessary to restore any failed equipment to full working orderUndertake preventative maintenance to ensure the digital systems are fully operational 24x7Ensure all deployments comply with the appropriate security standards including ISO 27001, and SOC 2Liaise with third party vendors (e.g. equipment vendors and software providers) during fault resolution and new platform evaluationsMaintain detailed documentation and drawings as required to address growth and maintenance activitiesProvide users and clients with professional, courteous, and timely technical supportParticipate in rotating on-call shifts to provide 24x7 digital engineering supportRequired Experience:5+ years of networking experienceMulticast network design and troubleshooting (PIM, IGMP experience)Large broad scope project experienceBGP, OSPF, IPv4 and IPv6, STPDNS, NTP, SNMPCisco L3 switches (Catalyst or Nexus)Cisco ASA firewalls and Cisco ACLsPalo Alto firewallsSecurity Standards application (ISO 27001, SOC, TPN)Preferred Experience:Fortinet firewallsLinear video streaming protocolsNMS AdministrationMPLS NetworkingCloud Infrastructure AdministrationBroadcast Video Workflows – optionalSkills, Education and/or Certifications Required:A degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. electronic engineering or software development) would be preferredTechnical knowledge of IP networking including a CCNA Routing and Switching qualificationand/or Network administration and/or management certification
