Senior Networking Engineer

IntroductieJob Title: Sr. Network EngineerJob Location: Rotterdam Maasvlakte/RemoteWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team.As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Cisco networking technologies, with a focus on security and industrial switching.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth and success of our organization.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies, including stacking, Virtual Stack, spanning-tree, trunking, SVI, and ACL.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Network Address Translation (NAT) and its implementation in various network environments.Utilize Cisco ASA or similar security products to provide network security solutions and maintain a secure infrastructure.Possess extensive experience with Fortigate or similar security products within the field of network security.Work with OT environments and industrial switching equipment, such as Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, and ProfiNet.Understand and implement security measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.Provide expertise and support in Cisco Wireless LAN technologies, if available.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets the organization's requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Substantial years of experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and protocols.In-depth knowledge and understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies.Strong understanding of network security principles, with hands-on experience in Cisco ASA, Fortigate and similar security products.Experience working in OT environments and industrial switching equipment (Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, ProfiNet).Knowledge of security protocols and measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.Cisco Wireless LAN experience is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.APM Terminals Maasvlakte II B.V.Bekijk werkgever
