This position requires a strong background in manufacturing operations, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize projects effectively. The successful candidate will lead transformation initiatives to achieve manufacturing standards that ensure process repeatability and phase appropriate quality. The manager also will ensure operational reliability, drive project prioritization, and achieve staff professional development and retention goals within the clinical manufacturing department.Key Responsibilities: Operations Reliability:Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational scheduling and reliability, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.Lead cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency.Direct implementation of operational tools and practices to standardize and optimize production scheduling, staffing, and execution thereby creating reliable, repeatable, quality processes.Proactively identify potential operational risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them effectively. Project Prioritization:Work closely with senior management to define manufacturing priorities, aligning them with business objectives and timelines.Determine project feasibility, resource requirements, and dependencies to develop realistic manufacturing schedules.Set project priorities and measure project performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to achieve timely completion of deliverables. Staff Retention and Development:Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering an inclusive, positive, and collaborative work environment.Implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring a highly skilled and motivated workforce.Conduct yearly 5 Conversations Cycle including performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.Direct subcontractor activities and drive operational success through Janssen vendor management best practices.
