Do you have an established network in the greenhouse industry, commercial talent and passion for travelling? In this role you will work in- and outside Europe to further unlock the large business opportunities for Grodan in new and upcoming crops. In this role you focus on licenced cannabis producers and you will also support sales to strawberry and lettuce growers in Western Europe.This is the roleThe segment medicinal crops is developing fast and we see a strong increase in sales and therefore we are looking for an extra account manager. You will be a true hunter, focusing on attracting new customers and expanding our portfolio in this segment. You are regularly on the road in- and outside of Europe (Europe 20-25%, outside Europe 10-15%) to customers, prospects and dealers to build and maintain a strong network within the medicinal crop sector. You will be responsible for the commercial activities and work closely together with your colleague account manager and crop specialist. Together, we strengthen our position and lead the growth of this fast-growing market. Next to that you will support new sales and trials to strawberry and lettuce growers in Western-Europe in close cooperation with the Business Development team.When you are not on the road, you work from home or a location that is comfortable for you to follow up your sales actions. Our head office is in Roermond (NL), where you need to be present 8-10 times a year to seek cooperation with your colleagues and attend sales team meetings.Unlock the large business opportunities for Grodan in an emerging market segment : licenced cannabis producers. Understand and learn the market needs of this crop for Grodan and relate this to Grodan’s route to market and further growth.Cooperate with the Business Development team to get trials in place and create new sales on Lettuce and Strawberry;Create and execute sales plan and deliver on the sales objectives;Manage a portfolio of customers ranging from key account type customers to small entrepreneurial start-ups to distributors;Sell the company’s products/services using technical, organizational and customer/market knowledge to influence and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation;Keep market, company and technical knowledge updated and give proactive feedback to the company regarding new developments, such as threats and opportunities;Contribute towards variety of projects, tradeshows, internal workshops and other initiatives;Cooperate with local area marketing and closely cooperate with business support to further build cultivation advise for the crop. Work closely with other Business Units within Grodan.Your profileBachelor’s degree in Horticulture or Sales and a strong affinity in the horticulture and greenhouse industry5+ years of commercial experience in preferably the horticulture industry.Strong communication skills in English (and preferably other languages).Willingness to travel (30-40%) and operate in an international context.Why join Grodan?We offer more than a job.
