Senior Performance Engineer - Permanent Role | Munster area - within (Hybrid: 2 Days Onsite)A leading organisation is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to join its Performance Engineering team in Waterford. This is a permanent position offering a hybrid working model with two days per week in the office.This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for performance optimisation. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to high-impact projects, and help ensure applications are fast, reliable, and scalable.Key ResponsibilitiesLead performance testing strategies and executionDesign and implement performance testing scripts and toolsIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecksCollaborate with DevOps and development teams to optimise performance in CI/CD pipelinesMentor junior engineers and support production performance triageValidate software releases and hardware upgradesRequired ExperienceExtensive experience in Performance EngineeringProficiency in LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, SeleniumExperience with APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, etc.)Strong understanding of Java, containerised environments, databases (MSSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB), and front-end technologiesFamiliarity with AWS, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CDD), and synthetic monitoringScripting skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, and SQLExperience with GIT/BitBucket and general IT troubleshootingDesirable SkillsJavaScript web developmentApache and Java environment configurationGrafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, OTELAgile methodology experienceAttributesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to manage multiple concurrent projectsProactive, customer-focused mindsetComfortable working across geographically distributed teamsPassion for learning and continuous improvementThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and make a meaningful impact in a permanent role.Apply Today!Embrace the opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic workplace.
